Feed the Hungry, Inc. is pleased to receive two new partners to help further the cause: Dollar General and AWWIN. These partnerships are significant in size and stature as the organization continues to strive to fulfill it’s calling of helping the working poor and homeless in our local communities.
AWWIN (Assisting Working Women In Need) is an organization created to help working females improve their economic circumstances by offering computer classes, job skills training, food, and professional clothing, to name a few of it’s services. AWWIN will be moving it’s clothing and food assistance programs to Savannah Feed the Hungry’s Life Center, located at 4011 Augusta Rd. Garden City, Ga. 31408, and also donating computers so that the Life Center may begin to offer Continuing education courses. AWWIN participants will receive a voucher to use these services at The Life Center. In lieu of those programs, AWWIN will begin developing a child-care assistance program.
Meanwhile, Dollar General has just announced that it will now accept donations for Feed the Hungry at various stores located in Chatham, Liberty, and Bryan Counties. The wide number of donation locations helps make giving to those in need more accessible for the busy modern life. Dollar General is proud to give back to the community.
