The Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Paul Featheringill to the position of Senior Program Manager.
A native of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Mr. Featheringill joined the staff of the SDRA in 2005 as a Program Specialist guiding the IT activities of the authority and overseeing the activities of the Business and Property Resource Center.
In 2008, Mr. Featheringill was promoted to Program Manager. In this capacity he administered SDRA’s business and property development programs, and various committee activities.
Mr. Featheringill was instrumental in the development
and administration of the Digital Divide Program for the MLK and Montgomery Street Corridor, and in the development and administration of the Downtown Brand and Marketing Program.
Mr. Featheringill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina along with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Featheringill has worked in the field of Downtown Development and Revitalization for several years. He began working for the Downtown Development Authority in Decatur, Georgia in 2002 and for several years worked for the Downtown Development Authority in Athens, Georgia where he was responsible for outreach to business and property owners and a variety of other program activities.
Mr. Featheringill was appointed to the position of Senior Program Manager on January 1, 2010. In this position, Mr. Featheringill will serve as the Executive Director’s right hand in matters of budgeting, program development and oversight. SDRA is a public authority tasked to lead a coordinated strategy of economic development and civic design to strengthen Greater Downtown Savannah, with emphasis on the MLK and Montgomery Street Corridor and the Broughton Street Urban Redevelopment Area.
