Fall Youth Family Explosion, BBQ Sale and Mentor/Volunteer Drive to be Held

Beating the Odds All Together (B.O.A.T), city of Savannah, alumni of Alfred Ely Beach High School, First African-Baptist Church and community partners are proud to announce our 5th annual Fall Youth & Family Explosion. The purpose of this event is to engage the Alfred Ely Beach High School community. The event will be called “Fall Youth & Family Explosion.” This event is a fall activity that will showcase talent; share information about youth and family programs in our community and network opportunities. We want to keep our students involved and aware of positive activities throughout the school year and provide them with information about community resources that are available to them and the entire community. Door prizes, food, fun, and games will be available for all attendees on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 from noon – 4p.m. This event is free and open to the public (we are asking that individuals donate one canned good if they can).

We are asking all available and interested social service agencies, churches, youth programs, neighborhood associations, and local entertainers to please come out and set up at this event or make a donation. If you would like to show your talent, your church would like to sing a selection, praise dance, or set up a booth, please contact us before Nov. 16, 2012.

Any assistance you can provide for this effort will be appreciated. Thank you for helping us to “continue the vision of excellence.”!
