Economic Opportunity Authority held their Annual Meeting and Community Partnership Brunch last Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the John Finney Multipurpose Room of the EOA. The 2019 theme is “The Power of Advocacy.” The emcee for the occasion was Commissioner James “Jay” Jones.
Rev. Jai S. Haithco., Sr. Ed.D, St. Philip AME Church presented the invocation. Executive Director Tom McBeth introduced the corporate partners. EOA Client Services presented a video of Collaborations and Community Outreach for 2018-2019. Rainer Whipple, Board Vice in September 2012. She is a graduate of Groves High School, Savannah State University and the University of Georgia School of Law. She also served in the Georgia Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant.
Judge Colbert has worked as an Associate for Alston and Bird, LLP in Atlanta; an Associate for the Law Offices of Charles W. Bell & Associates, P.C., Senior Staff Attorney for the Office of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee; Staff Attorney for Chatham County Superior Court Judge Louisa Abbot; and Assistant County Attorney for Chatham County. She currently serves on the Goodwill Southeast Georgia Board of Directors, the Step Up Savannah Board of Directors and was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to serve on the Board of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
