The Economic Opportunity Authority held their annual Meeting and Community Partnership Brunch last Thursday. in the Aaron L. Buchsbaum Learning Center.
Director of Police Services Roy Minter, Jr., was the featured speaker. He revealed his plan to reduce crime in our community by forming partnerships throughout the city. He was appointed as the Director of Police Services for the Savannah Police Dept on August 27, 2018. He comes to Savannah from Peoia, Arizona where he served as Chief of Police for more than seven years.
Tom McBeth, EOA Executive Director announced Home Depot. to receive the Community Partnership Award. Alycia Brown, Head Start Director announced the Parent of the Year Award. Karen Bogans, Board Member and Communitcations Director at International Paper presented EOA with a check for $12,000 to complete their Library project.
