ELC Collaborative Fostering Change Within Our Educational Community

It is evident that we are continuing to lose many children in this chaotic and complex society.

For this reason, Educational Leaders for Change (ELC) Collaborative will continue our efforts to develop community initiatives that will foster change within our communities.

Educational Leaders for Change (ELC) Collaborative (Educational Service Providers) will host the 5th Annual “BREAKTHROUGH: An Explosion of Parent Unity in the Community” beginning August 8, 2009 through August 10, 2009.

This three day event will provide a doormat for parents to “get involved” with children at home, at school, and in the community.

It is the goal of ELC Collaborative to create awareness for the much needed cry for “parental involvement’ by collaborating with parents, disseminating information, gathering needed data, providing support, guidance, and an educational forum that will positively impact the growth and development of youth.

In order to bring this annual event to fruition, ELC Collaborative requests the support of the entire community to join our “Walk for Positive Parenthood on Saturday, August 8, 2009.

We ask that churches, businesses, community groups, schools, and other organizations join us for this empowerment walk for parental involvement in the lives of children.

At 12:00 noon ELC Collaborative will convene at Beach High School’s Richard Mole Auditorium for a Parent Symposium, brunch, and back-to-school supply distribution. Our focus for this year’s symposium is “Reclaiming and Redirecting young African American Males,” with guest speaker, Mr. Miller Bargeron, Managing Partner, BOAN Consults and founder of the Conquerors Program.

Your presence and input is greatly needed so that we may positively touch the parents in communities globally and continue our quest to make a difference in the lives of children.
