Early Voting Begins for Georgia Residents


 
 

In-person early voting began on Monday, February 13th, at the Voter Registration Office, located at 1117 Eisenhower Dr. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Georgia law requires residents to show photo identification when voting in person.

Residents may provide any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a free Voter ID Card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services.

The forms of acceptable identification are: A Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired, valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state,valid U.S. passport ID, valid U.S. military photo ID, and valid tribal photo ID.

For absentee voting by mail, voters may send a written request stating type of election, date of election, first and last name, date of birth, address registered from, address where to mail ballot, party preference (democratic or republican) and signature.

Mail request to Voter Registration, P.O. Box 13757 or fax to 912-790- 1519. Saturday voting is February 25th at the Voter Registration Office. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
