The 100% Savannah Coalition is holding a town hall on Tuesday, February 18 from 6:30-8:00 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 311 Harris St. The objective of the town hall is to educate the public on the potentially enormous benefits to our city of transitioning Savannah to 100% safe, clean, renewable energy.
It is a project that will lift up all Savannah’s citizens through energy savings, improved public health, weatherization and resilience to the increasing impacts of climate change on our community, new higher paying, green technology jobs, and equity and environmental justice for all the communities that comprise our city. The panel will include: Nick Palumbo (Savannah
City Council); Kesha Gibson Carter (Savannah City Council); Dr. Mildred McClain (Citizens for Environmental Justice); Jennette Gayer (Environment Georgia); Cathy Sakas (Past Chair and Current Member of the Tybee Island Beach Task Force).
