Dr. Henrietta Gray takes on the helm as President of the Chatham Retired Educators Association. Her 2014-2015 theme is “Empowered by Experience for Service”. She is a member of Living Hope Community Fellowship where Joyce C. Hall is the Pastor. Dr. Gray serves as part of the leadership and ministerial team.

Dr. Gray is a Retired Educator from the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. She was a former Human Resources Development Training Specialist with the Polk County School System in Florida; Personnel Director, and Training and Development Coordinator. Dr. Gray was also employed with Bell South as a Business Office Supervisor, Public Housing Supervisor for the city of Jacksonville, Florida, and she served as the Director of the El Bethel Bible College.

Dr. Gray is a Cum Laude graduate of Florida A & M University where she earned the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education. Dr. Gray holds a Doctorate of Ministry and Administration from The International Institute and Seminary, Plymouth, Florida.

Dr. Gray has received numerous certificates of completion in various professional-related areas. She serves on several boards and is a member of organizations to include: National Council of Negro Women, FAMU Alumni, NAACP, American Business Women’s Association, League of Women Voters, and Chatham County Democratic Committee. Additionally, Dr. Gray served as President-Elect of the Chatham County Retired Educators Association and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She, also, serves as one of the Spiritual Advisors to the South Atlantic Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Highly recognized and applauded for her skillful and profound knowledge of the Holy Word, Dr. Gray is a sought out speaker for workshops, seminars, and church services. She is the mother of one daughter, Terri Sherraye, who is an honor graduate of Florida State University School of Law, and is an Attorney in Florida.
