Deaconess Simmons To Deliver Initial Sermon

The public is cordially invited to witness the Initial Sermon of Deaconess Rosa Mobley-Simmons on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Pastor Dr. Ronald B. Anderson, Sr. and the Bethany Baptist Church family located at 2139 Margery Street Savannah, Georgia. Deaconess Simmons was born in Glennville, Georgia to the late Mr. Earnest Mobley and Mattie Mobley and she is one of five children born to this union. She was baptized as a child under the leader- ship of the late Reverend R. L. Thomas at First African Baptist Church (Woodsville).

Deaconess Simmons attended the public schools of Chatham County and is a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School Class of 1972. She later attended Central Michigan University and received a Master of Science in Administration (Human Resources). She received a dual Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Administration and Religion and Associate Degree in Business Administration all from St Leo University. She is currently in pursuit of a Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies from Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible in Newburgh, Indiana.

Deaconess Simmons is married to Deacon Nathan Simmons, Jr. They are blessed with three sons: Rodney, Nathan III and Jermaine, Sr.(Dianna) One God Child: Brya Thomas and six Grandchildren: Bryonna, Jermaine Jr., Jamira, Nathan IV, Christian and Kamila.

In May 2014, Deaconess Simmons accepted the call from God into the ministry.
