Davis is Carver Employee of the Year

Vita Davis, who joined the staff of Carver State Bank in 2000, recently received the Bank’s coveted Employee of the Year Award for 2008. During her eight years at Carver, she previously worked as a teller and customer service representative. Currently, she is the bank’s Operations Manager.

Carver State Bank is a state-chartered, FDICinsured, commercial bank. Established in 1927, Carver is the oldest commercial bank headquartered in Savannah, and the fifth oldest African- American-owned bank in America.

Davis is a Lorain, Ohio native. Prior to joining the Carver staff, she served in the U. S. Army for almost nine years. She has completed numerous consumer compliance workshops as well as several banking courses sponsored by Digital University.

Davis and her husband, Edwin, are the proud parents of two daughters, Jacinda and Chinaza and one son, Adrian.
