The City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting registrations for a series of Pre-Session Workshops that tie-in with the current exhibition of Student, Instructor and Staff works on display now through January 17, 2014. These one and two day workshops began January 7 and run through January 14. All workshops will be held at the Department of Cultural Affairs Arts Studio located at 9 W. Henry Street.
This variety of workshops, taught by skilled professionals, is offered for children, teens, and adults in all skill levels. Workshops include Mixed Media in a Series with Lind Hollingsworth, Fused Glass Design Sampler with Stephanie VanGeel, Clay Boat Building with Dave Peterson, Into to Lapidary Stone Cutting with Ed Wade, Clay Surface Design Sampler with Mary Cale Wilson, Dodecahedron Paper Cutting with Mary Bass and Children’s Portrait Workshops with Brian Woods. Programs are supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. GCA also receives support from its partner agency the National Endowment for the Arts.
Class fees include instruction, use of studio space, use of equipment and all materials and tools required. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Credit cards are accepted.
