CPPI of Georgia along with partnering firm, Pat Mathis Construction Company, celebrated Groundbreaking Services with Savannah-Chatham County School System on last Thursday, commemorating start of construction for the new Isle of Hope K-8 School. In remarks given at the ceremony, John Carlson of CPPI and Pat Mathis of Pat Mathis Construction expressed appreciation for the District’s show of confidence for a successful delivery in awarding the landmark project to their firms. Successful delivery within the context of the ESPLOST II Capital Improvement Program encompasses timely completion, within budget, and participation of Local and Local MWBE firms to the maximum extent possible.

Additionally, each expressed their companies’ like philosophies in terms of core values and good corporate stewardship. CPPI received the contract last Fall and to date, all scopes of work awarded or identified to be awarded (abatement, demolition and upcoming site development) have been and will be performed by Local and Local MWBE subcontractors; specifically, Savannah Abatement, RICO Strong Construction and Arco, Inc. “CPPI is extremely excited to be a part of the Savannah community and we look forward to continuing the successful trend of local inclusion at very high levels as we move forward” according to John Carlson.

Following award of the contract by the Savannah Chatham County Schools, CPPI of Georgia decided that the company will open a bank account at Carver State Bank of Savannah, further demonstrating its commitment to economic impact in the local community. Established in 1927, Carver is the oldest bank in the Savannah area, and one of only two commercial banks that are headquartered in Savannah.
