Countdown to “THE BIG DAY” And the Great Cook-off Begins… 100 Strong

“The Big Day” is almost here, and as of press time, approximately 100 plus celebrity men are eagerly waiting to show-off their culinary skills. Yes, it’s time for the eleventh annual “Savannah’s 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook,” and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.

On Sunday, December 12, 2010 – 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., the Savannah Marriott Riverfront will be the “THE PLACE” where .some of these men will get a big ego boost. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place prizes will be awarded in several categories, including: Appetizers – hot and cold, Salads, Breads, Vegetables, Casseroles – seafood, meat, non-meat, Chili, Soups, Gumbos, Poultry, Beef, Pork, Barbecue – beef, pork, chicken, Desserts, and more.

“Savannah’s 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook” is a benefit event for the United Negro College Fund. Started in 2000, this mega tasting party showcases the culinary skills of a diverse group of dedicated men in our community.

Representatives from the political, religious, corporate, medical, academic, volunteer communities and all walks of life come together annually to support higher education for our children. This is the event of the season that you don’t want to miss. Come and enjoy the fun, meet and greet the chefs, feast upon all the goodies, and eat all you want!

All proceeds from this great event will benefit the United Negro College Fund. You don’t want to miss this exciting pre- holiday event, sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Zeta Phi Beta Sororities. Donation is only $25.00.
