On Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 pm fellow musicians, singers, choirs, friends, and family will gather to celebrate the gospel music ministry of Savannah’s Shayla T. Loadholt. A number of gospel music artists are lined up to perform and praise.
Not only does she provide inspiration and excellence as director of the Choir Ministry at St. Paul and other area churches and groups, Shayla is a rising star in the field of gospel music who lends her voice to the group RLW. RLW backed up “Sunday’s Best “Season 5 winner Joshua Rogers in April. In October, Shayla helped to open for Tye Tribbett and Mali Music before a sold out audience at the Savannah State University Homecoming Concert. She and St. Paul pianist Delandrian Aikens have also performed in New York City. She has unselfishly used the gift that God has rendered unto her to minister through song to those whose hearts are heavy; those who may have lost their way; and those who may need to be reminded that He is.
When she is not in the church, Shayla is serving her community as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor for Union Mission. She is an alumnus of Georgia Southern University and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The free program is hosted by the pastor Rev. Chester A. Ellis and members of St. Paul. The public is invited and encouraged to attend “An Evening with Shayla.”
