Savannah/ Chatham County residents interested in applying to the Habitat Homeownership Program are encouraged to pick up a Pre-Qualification Application.
The applications will be available in a box outside the organization’s offices at 1106 East 70th Street from January 10 through 17, 2011. Applicants must return the completed application to the Habitat Savannah offices by 5 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011. Applications will not be accepted after the January 17th deadline.
The submitted Pre- Qualification Applications will be reviewed by the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity volunteer Family Selection Committee. Qualified applicants will be contacted in late January and invited to attend informational meetings in mid- February for further consideration.

The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is a non profit Christian organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity brings together people with resources and people in need to build simple, decent, affordable houses.
The houses are sold to those in need at no profit, through no-interest loans. Savannah’s Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1983 and has built 109 houses in the Savannah community.
