The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity and the Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah hosted a home dedication ceremony on Thursday November 21st at 9 am in Garden City at 4028 6th Street to celebrate the completion of the two Home Builders Blitz houses in the Rossingol Hill neighborhood.
These houses are part of an ongoing neighborhood revitalization program happening throughout Garden City neighborhoods.
The homes, built by a coalition of local home builders including Matthew Johns Construction, Beacon New Homes, Matthew Byrd New Home Sales, and Horizon Home Builders, were part of the National Home Builders Blitz. They account for two of the 244 newly constructed or repair projects undertaken by Home Builders members across the United States over the past two months. Donations of building materials and services from a variety of local and national companies were coordinated through the Greater Savannah Homebuilders Association and Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity. Additional funding for the project was made possible through a competitive CHIP grant which CEHFH received from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs awarded to Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.
