Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard Chris Paul announced a new sweepstakes in conjunction with the app Mov to benefit Savannah State men’s and women’s basketball.
Fans were able to enter a sweepstakes to win the custom Savannah State shoes worn by Chris Paul earlier this NBA season. Mov launched with Paul’s ‘HBCU Sneaker Tour’ as its first official campaign. Proceeds from the HBCU Sneaker Tour sweepstakes will benefit the Savannah State men’s and women’s basketball programs directly, as well as eleven other HBCU’s.
Mov is a social commerce marketplace for professional athletes to give back. Athletes choose their item and fans can enter sweepstakes to win with ticket packages as low as $1 per ticket. At the end of the sweepstakes period, a winner is selected at random and the signed game-worn item is shipped to their home.
During the NBA Bubble, Paul represented several HBCU’s on and off the court by wearing custom sneakers and gear including the Savannah State sneakers in this first Mov campaign.
The sweepstakes closed on November 3 at 11:59 p.m.
