The Chatham Retired Educators Association (CREA) held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Carey Hilliard’s Restaurant on Abercorn Street.
CREA was honored to have Senator Lester G. Jackson III, from Senate District 2 as our guest speaker. He provided an update on various issues being discussed in the Georgia General Assembly, to include dropout prevention initiatives, the HOPE Scholarship, and implementing legislations to address hate crimes.
CREA continues to support various organizations in the community, to include the Savannah Chatham County Public Schools, Ronald McDonald House, Greenbriar Children’s Center, and the Austin House.
The next CREA meeting will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, 11:00 am in the Banquet
Room of Carey Hilliard’s Restaurant on Abercorn Street. Registration begins at 10:30 A.M. Retired Educators and Friends of Education are welcome to attend and join CREA!
