The Chatham County Hospital Authority has announced two new board members: Ervin Daniel Deloach, M.D., FACS, and Francis P. Rossiter. Jr., M.D. The announcement came at a recent meeting of the CCHA held at Memorial University Medical Center.
“We are happy to have added two such distinguished members. Dr. Deloach and Dr. Rossiter will bring valuable knowledge and expertise to our board,” said CCHA Board Chairman Gerald Caplan, M.D.
Frank Rossiter, Jr., M.D., has lived in Savannah his entire life, leaving only for college, medical school, and military service. He has served on the Memorial Health Board of Directors, The Children’s Hospital advisory board, and the ethics committee. He was chairman of the medical advisory committee and the chairman of the department of pediatrics. In 2008, he was the Grand Marshall of Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. Rossiter retired from his medical practice in June 2003. He currently serves on the board of governors for Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah.
Ervin Daniel Deloach, M.D., FACS, is a surgeon with Savannah Plastic Surgery. He attended the Medical College of Georgia and is a clinical professor in the department of surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah campus. He is also clinical professor in the department of surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. Deloach is past chief of staff and chief medical officer at Memorial University Medical Center. In 2009, he was appointed to the Georgia Board for Physician Workforce by former Governor Sonny Perdue. He has also served as president of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a fellow in the International College of Surgeons.
The Chatham County Hospital Authority was formed in the early 1950s to assist in the building and development of local hospital facilities. Currently, Memorial Health leases its facilities from the Hospital Authority. CCHA is comprised of nine board members:James Buchman, Gerald Caplan, M.D., Arthur B. Dana, CPA, E. Daniel DeLoach, M.D., Charles F. McMillan, Sr., E.G. Miller, Sr., Frank Rossiter, M.D., W. Rex Templeton, Jr., and Don L. Waters.
