Chatham County Sheriff’s Office kicks off successful 2012 United Way campaign

This Chatham County Sheriff’s Office kicked off their 2012 United Way campaign. This year’s theme for the United Way of the Coastal Empire is “Mission: Possible”. The Sheriff’s Office played off that theme by transforming some the deputies and staff members into “secret agents” who will help the United Way reach its goal.

Sheriff Al St Lawrence even got in on the act, dressing in a black suit and tie and lead this year’s kickoff event. “My employees have such big hearts and they know how to have fun. I think that’s why our United Way fundraising is always so successful,” said the Sheriff.

Last year the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office raised approximately $37,000 for the United Way of the Coastal Empire. This year they are hoping to exceed that amount. For the next two months they will be holding a variety of fundraisers to raise money for this great cause.
