CCSO to Host Substance Abuse Recovery Workshop


The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Substance Abuse and Recovery workshop titled Breakthrough over Breakfast, on June 30th, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Sheriff’s Complex Dining Hall, located on 1050 Carl Griffin Drive. The Sheriff’s Office will host the following experts as keynote speakers: Dr. Al Mooney, Willingway Director of Addiction Medicine and Recovery and author of The Recovery Book; John Elford, Director WISC (Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing) Integrated Step Course and Registered Manager of New Port Residential Care, along with Mark Harrison, Commissioner of Drug and Alcohol Services for the county of Durham England. This panel will share the addiction breakthroughs occurring in England with hopes of replicating their programs in the United States.

The Sheriff’s Office Programs Department has invited accountability court judges and their coordinators, command staff and managers, corrections medical providers, probation and parole chiefs and directors, substance treatment providers, work release supervisors, and programs staff to attend this trailblazing workshop.
