The National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association (NFDMA) is proud to announce the appointment of Entrepreneur, Mr. David L. Campbell, Sr., as the 5th District Governor of the Association.

The 5th District Governor serves the states of Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The Association represents leading funeral directors from across the United States as well as internationally to be decision makers in the funeral service industry.

Mr. David Campbell, Sr., is the President and owner of Sidney A. Jones and Campbell Funeral Services in Savannah, Georgia. He has extensive experience, a wealth of knowledge, and has served on many committees in the funeral service industry.

For more than 30 years, Mr. Campbell has served his community and surrounding counties in this capacity. Being a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and member of the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners’’ Association, Inc. highly qualify him for this illustrious appointment.

Some other prestigious achievements include being honored as the State Mortician of the Year in 2007, chairman and treasurer of the 1st District, and District Mortician of the Year in 1993 and 2007.

Mr. Campbell was educated in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. Upon graduating from Robert W. Groves High School in 1979, Mr. Campbell enhanced his educational career by attending Savannah Technical College, Savannah State University (Savannah State College) and became a graduate from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Services, where he received an advanced degree in Mortuary Sciences.

The NFDMA was founded in 1924 and is a membership association of professional funeral directors and morticians.

The state associations are grouped into ten geographical districts whose affairs are coordinated by a district governor appointed by the general president
