Many men around the world celebrated The National Men’s Council USA Layman’s Day, this past Sunday June 17, 2012. The Butler Memorial Presbyterian USA Men’s Council welcomed Representative Bob Bryant, the Georgia State Representative for the 162nd district as their speaker.
Representative Bob Bryant said his goal has always been to serve the citizens of his district equally and fairly and to make himself available to his constituents. Bryant’s belief goes hand and hand with the Men’s Council belief.
The mission of Presbyterian Men is to lead men into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and to assist them in their spiritual, personal and community development. The goals are as followed: Develop their understanding of the mission of the church and to assist congregations in nurturing men of the church to mature discipleship, encourage men through their commitment to Christ to fulfill the ministry to which men are called in their families, involve men of various racial and ethnic backgrounds and men of different ages.
President Carl E. Moffitt is president and Herman Allen is program chairman.
