The members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Empire are enjoying a wonderful summer at the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club and the Kayton-Frazier Boys & Girls Club, together the two units are serving over 400 youth daily. Members are exposed to many fun and exciting activities. including aerobic exercise, inside softball and dodge-ball and basketball. Art is a staple in summer programs, with many creative projects on display in both Clubs. Academics are not neglected during the summer. The Frank Callen Unit continues with the DEEP Writing Project, which encourages youth to be creative and original in their work and daily reading activities for all ages at the Kayton-Frazier unit. The children are fed daily through the City of Savannah Free Lunch Program and the Kids Café provided by America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. All of these programs and initiatives combined with the extensive hours make the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Empire truly the Positive Place for Kids.
