The Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church family will celebrate their annual Family & Friends Day on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 10AM. The theme for the occasion is “Let’s Get Together and Love”. The Mission Ministry and congregation extend a special invitation to family members, extended family and friends to come and share in the “love”. The messenger for the morning will be Minister Michael C. Smith, Sr. of Second Arnold Baptist Church. Minister Smith is a native of Escambia County, Florida and is the product of a devoted family of Christians and a long line of preachers. He moved to Savannah three years ago and united with the Second Arnold family.
Minister Smith received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology from Alabama State University, Theological Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees from West Florida Baptist Institute and he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary. He is married to Sister Teresa Smith and they share in the love of Christ and family devotion and are eager to continue their work as stewards for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On August 21, 2011, Minister Smith preached his introductory sermon at Second Arnold, titled “I Won’t Complain”. During his life of kingdom building he has served his Christian walk as a pastor, preacher, teacher, and administrator.
Don’t miss this opportunity for worship and fellowship with Bethlehem families and friends. The church is located at 1008 May Street where Dr. Wilson Scott, Jr. is Pastor and Deaconess Dorothy Hill is Mission Ministry President.
