Pastor Jerome William Baker and the Bethel M.B. Church family are excited about hosting the Black Marriage Day Celebration for the 8th consecutive year. We therefore want to extend an invitation for the community join us and participate in this cherished event. Our speaker is the Reverend Larry J. Stell, Pastor of Central Missionary Baptist Church 738 Hitch Drive, Savannah, Georgia. Please join us as we proclaim, “Married and proud of it.” SCRIPTURE; Ephesians 4:32 “….be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” We salute all couples united in holy matrimony but we especially want to showcase the African Americans on this the 9th annual Black Marriage Day Celebration, Sunday March 27, 2011.
It is our desire that married couples with longevity of sixty, fifty, forty and thirty years be in attendance to receive recognition and praise for their examples of commitment. We also want to honor newly wedded couples as well.
