Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Inc., is proud to announce that Lula Baker, Jane A. Feiler and Toby Hollenberg have been selected as the 2011 Savannah Area Women of Distinction honorees.
The luncheon in their honor will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, atl1:30a.m. at the Charles H. Morris Center in Savannah.
The Girl Scouts’ Women of Distinction award honors women who reflect the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serve as excellent role models for girls.
Baker was a dedicated teacher who is remembered by generations of Savannah Chatham County residents as the teacher who had just the right blend of knowledge, compassion and tough love to change the lives of her students.
Feiler has been a driving force in leadership opportunities for women for many years – a testimony to her belief that women can hold any position to which they aspire and be successful.
In addition to her many volunteer efforts, Hollenberg has most recently focused her efforts on health care by spearheading a program that enhances care and comfort for cancer patients, and she has provided the opportunity for girls to learn about taking responsibility for healthy living.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Inc. Sponsorships are available in addition to individual tickets.
