Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church (UMC) has announced plans for its annual summer Vacation Bible School, themed “SURF SHACK- CATCH THE WAVE OF GOD’S AMAZING LOVE”, which will be open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
The fun begins June 5 and runs through June 10 at the church, which is located at 1008 E. Henry Street in Savannah. Children will gather daily from 6-9 p.m. to experience serving God and others through acts of love.
“This is a great way for our young people to get a fun, engaging, handson Bible learning experience while they meet new friends,” said coordinator Cheri Hester, wife of Asbury Memorial UMC Pastor Billy Hester. “Our program is designed to encourage children as they discover and know Jesus more each day.”
The adventure includes energetic music, interactive Biblical fun, intriguing science projects, arts and crafts, education based games, and more. In addition, dinner will be served to the children each night – giving busy parents one less thing to worry about on busy weeknights. The cost is $15 per student.
