Asbury Memorial Church Slated To Host Second Annual Revue And Silent Auction Fundraising Event

Asbury Memorial Church is set to host a ‘Love is in the Air and Silent Auction’ fundraising event beginning at 6 p.m., on Saturday, June 22 at the church, located at 1008 East Henry St. (at Waters) in Savannah. Monitored parking will be available behind the church.

Asbury Memorial’s fundraising event is open to the public and kicks off with a silent auction featuring a multitude of fantastic items ranging from beach and mountain vacation getaways, works of art, dining experiences and professional services from local Savannah businesses— and much more. At 7 p.m., a jam-packed stage show begins, featuring local and visiting singers and musicians ready to entertain guests with ‘an evening of Love Songs from Stage and Film.’ Guests will be delighted with a 1950’s Love Song Medley including favorites like ‘So in Love’ and ‘If I Loved You,’ as well as a host of fabulous film and stage picks such as ‘Love Story,’ As Long as He Needs Me,’ Something’s Got a Hold on Me,’ ‘I will Always Love You’ and ‘Viva Las Vegas’–just to name a few. Tim Steinhauser returns as Master of Ceremonies for what promises to be a spectacular evening!

“Asbury Memorial and director, Linda Combs, are known for putting together musical productions that touch our spirit and uplift our soul,” said Reverend Billy Hester. “Love will definitely be in the air on June 22nd!”

Asbury Memorial is a welcoming, all-inclusive congregation with an ongoing commitment to determining and serving the needs of the community. The idea behind this event came from a desire for congregation and community members, locals and visitors, to come together for a fun-filled evening with a cause. Funds raised from the ‘Love is in the Air and Silent Auction’ will benefit the church’s Mission and Outreach Program.

Admission is $15 per person, or $10 for students under the age of 18. For more information about the event or Asbury Memorial Church, please visit or call (912) 233-4351.
