Armstrong to Present Visiting Writers Series Event Featuring Emily Rosko on Oct. 13


On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. Visiting Writers Series Reading Featuring Emily Rosko. Armstrong State University’s College of Liberal Arts will present a poetry reading by acclaimed author Emily Rosko. Awarded the Iowa Poetry Prize and a Glasgow Prize for Emerging Writers for Raw Goods Inventory, Rosko will read from her latest poetry collection, Prop Rockery. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, Rosko is also the past recipient of Poetry magazine’s Ruth Lilly Fellowship and a Jacob

K. Javits Fellowship. She is an associate professor of English at the College of Charleston and poetry editor for Crazyhorse literary journal. Additional support for the event, which is free and open to the public, is provided by Armstrong’s Department of Languages, Literature and Philosophy and Gail and Mickey Rountree, in memory of Rhett Morgan Rountree.
