Wednesday, February 19, 2014, Noon – 2 p.m, Armstrong Atlantic State University will host “Megatrends in Global Affairs,” a special
lecture by Dr. Yale H. Ferguson, Professorial Fellow in the Rutgers University graduate Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University Newark and Emeritus Professor of Global and International Affairs. This event is free and open to the public. The lecture is presented by Armstrong’s Department of Criminal Justice, Social and Political Science and the university’s Office of International Education.
In his lecture, Ferguson ventures to invite interested citizens and specialists alike for a tour of the major trends at work in the world today: from melting ice frontiers to new regional trade agreements, drone proliferation to income inequality, fuzzy ideological faultiness to supposed global power shifts, immigration debates to endangered ecosystems and terrorism to tax havens. This lecture is organized by Dr. Nalanda Roy, assistant professor of Criminal Justice, Social and Political Science at Armstrong.
