Armstrong State University To Present Free Science On Tap Event


On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 6 p.m., at the Savannah Coffee Roasters located at 215 W. Liberty St. Savannah, Ga, Armstrong State University’s College of Science and Technology will host the second 2016 Science on Tap event titled ““MEATHEAD: Unraveling the Athletic Brain.”

The event will be featuring Dr. Allison Brager, postdoctoral fellow at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. Brager will discuss the inaccurate labeling of serious athletes as “meatheads.” In addition, she will reveal the adaptive brain changes that separate amateurs from trained athletic champions. This event is free and open to the public.

Science on Tap is a free monthly event presented by Armstrong’s College of Science and Technology. The event features members of the scientific community discussing science in an entertaining, laid-back format. All events are open to the public.
