Armstrong Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Learning Commons

Monday, April 29th, 2013 at 3 p.m. Armstrong Atlantic State University will hold a ribbon cutting for the university’s new library annex, the Learning Commons. The Learning Commons is a technology-rich resource for students and faculty to interact, research, and collaborate.

The building holds Mac and PC computer labs, interactive technology tables, audio/video editing room, library reference rooms, group study spaces, seating for 300, a lecture space and more.

The building is an adaptive reuse project in line with the university’s commitment to sustainability and has been designed to LEED Gold standards of the U.S. Green Building Council.
