Armstrong Celebrates Black History Month 2013


Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs announces The Crossroads of Freedom and Equality, a month-long series of lectures, panel discussions and performances in celebration of Black History Month.

All events listed take place on the Armstrong campus, 11935 Abercorn St., and are free and open to the public.

Armstrong will kick off its Black History Month programming with Savannah’s Martin Luther King Jr. parade on Monday, Jan. 21. Armstrong students, faculty, staff and alumni will march along with the pirate ship float in the downtown Savannah parade. The theme for the Armstrong segment of the parade is Honoring Students and Alumni Who Serve.
