The City of Savannah is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 Savannah Youth Council, which runs through next school year.
The Youth Council is open to all rising 8th graders who currently reside in Chatham County.

In addition to working closely with Savannah City Council, Youth Council members will have the opportunity to take educational field trips visiting legislators in Atlanta, the National League of Cities Annual Conference in Phoenix, and Capitol Hill in Washington.
The deadline for completed applications is June 17.
