AAU Club Championship Outdoor Track & Field Held

 
 

From Wednesday, July 14th to Saturday, July 17th, 2021, the Silver Cheetahs competed in the AAU Club Championship Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Satellite Beach High School in Satellite Beach, Florida. Two athletes from the Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs competed in the AAU Club Championship Outdoor Track and Field Invitational against multiple track and field teams across the nation.

Blessed Zoe Diogo competed in 2 fierce competitions in both the 100 Meter Hurdles and 200 Meter Hurdles. In the 100 Meter Hurdles, Blessed Zoe raced against 17 national competitors across the nation; and after qualifying for the finals, she finished in 6th place in the nation with a time of 17.29 seconds. As for the 200 Meter Hurdles, Blessed Zoe competed against 28 other female hurdlers and finished in 7th place with a national time of 31.56 seconds. As for the Long Jump, Blessed Zoe finished up earning 14th place with a best jump of 14 feet 4 inches.

David Diogo also dealt with fierce competition in the 80 Meter Hurdles. David ran against 10 other national competitors and finished 5th in the nation with a time of 15.11 seconds. As for the Long Jump, David finished up earning 14th place with a best jump of 12 feet.

The following athletes competed in the AAU Club Championship Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Satellite Beach High School in Satellite Beach, Florida: 1. Blessed Zoe Diogo – 6th 100 Meter Hurdles (17.29s), 7th in 200 Meter Hurdles (31.56s), and 14th in Long Jump (14ft 4in) 2. David Diogo – 5th in 80 Meter Hurdles (15.11s), 14th in Long Jump (12ft), and 40th in 100 Meter Dash (15.91s)
