A New Program In Savannah Helps Kids Become Entrepreneurs

Saturday, September 7th 2019 from 12pm- 4pm the Now That We’re Back in School Bash will be held at the Mother Matilda Beasley Park located at 500 East Broad St. This is event is free and open to the public.

Sherica Snowden, Founder of the S.T.A.T. program, will be hosting this event as a soft opening. Stop Thoughtin’ and Think (S.T.A.T.) is a program that teaches children how to become entrepreneurs and helps them raise the startup costs to launch their businesses. Sherica has put her own children (Shaniya age 12 girl, Shaelyn age 11 girl, and Shamari age 10 boy) through the program. Each child now has their own business and can be seen around the city as the youngest vendors at events. The children have even been recognized and awarded for being young, successful entrepreneurs. In fact, both girls’ lip gloss lines have just been placed in a beauty supply store in the Garden City area. Come out and meet all three children at this event, learn more about and signup for the program, enjoy activities, and restock your child’s school supplies. There will also be barbers and a stylist available offering free services. We encourage you to come be apart of this great community event.
