A Message To All Parents

Evang. Rachel Thomas

If I use my energy to speak “life” and build up faith in the young people of the church, I won’t have to be concerned about always fighting the devil. They will stand against him. This truth is seen in Psalm 127:4-5.

If I can light their fire with the word of God and get their spirits built up in the most holy faith, they will railroad the devil! There is a generation that is going to usher in the return of the Lord. It is going to be a mighty church, so we must begin to minister and pour in life!

Sometime we must take a stand and rebuke demons, but we must use most of our energy to speak life and encouragement to the youth of today. Then we do far more damage to Satan and his devices then we have been doing up to now. Tear down the strongholds of drugs, alcohol, prostitution, etcetera, by the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)- Speak God’s word! I can’t stress enough the power of the tongue. There are numerous verses to look at in Proverbs (12:18, 12:25, 15:1, 15:4, 15:7). A kind word can have a great impact. Have you ever noticed that even an animal will respond to a kind word? I am sure our children will be delighted to hear one too.

As we begin to parent our children the way God intended, a generation gap will not exist. Bitterness, hatred, and strife will be eliminated because we’ve built a different kind of relationship. In 1st and 2nd Timothy, the Apostle Paul writes to Timothy as his “son in faith” The same principles used for raising up young ministry holds true for raising up our natural children. (Read 1Timothy 1:18-19).

An important quality that Paul stressed to Timothy was that he maintained a good conscience. Living a life that is righteous will keep your conscience clear and clean before the Lord. Let not fornication or witchcraft or any of these things enter into your spirit. If your conscience is not clear before God, it is a sign that sin is lying at the door of your heart.

Look at the instructions that Paul gave Timothy in 1Timothy 4:7- 12. Our children need to be taught that their age doesn’t exclude them from serving God in a worthwhile manner.
