Congratulations to Jakari Myreke Flowers of Butler Elementary School. Flowers is an 11 year old Honor Roll student who has recieved numerous academic and citizenship awards. Now Jakari can add mathematician to his accomplishments. With a score of 913, he ranked the highest at Butler Elementary, and placed 18th in the Savannah Chatham School District for the Sumdog Math Contest. This contest was comprised of 34 district schools and a total of 3,482 students with the highest score being 990.

Jakari is a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church where he faithfully serves as an usher and a member of the Youth Ministry. He is supported and encouraged by his mother, Roshida Edwards, his father Vernard Flowers and grandparents, J. Vernard (Lisa) Flowers, Pastor Vernon (Sandra) Gallaway, and Pastor Harold (Sandra) Edwards. Principal Lynette Ward and the entire Butler Elementary staff also congratulate Jakari on a job well done.
