The Alfred E. Beach High School Athletic Hall of Fame Association, Inc. is pleased to announce that the 25th Annual Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, 6 p.m. at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum Annex, 460 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
We are asking your support of this activity through the purchase of a ticket or an advertisement in the Souvenir Booklet.
This year’s class of inductees will include: All-City Lineman Miller Bargeron, basketball and track star Charlie Hood, Former Harlem Globetrotter Tyrone “Hollywood” Brown, football and basketball star Ernest Maynor, and three letter star Jeree Jefferson, Pearline Stephens and Selethia Watson. Citations will be awarded to Tom Coffee and James German. Organized under the leadership of the late Jesse “Jiggs” Morgan in 1985, this year the organization will honor outstanding female and male athletes who excel in three sports and a special award to the athlete with the highest academic average for the year.
The winners will be selected by the Beach High coaching and honored at the banquet. Proceeds from this event support the Joe Greene Scholarship Program and he continued work of the Hall of Fame Association.
