Savannah– The mantle has been passed and the undisputed torch light is still BLAZING! The committee of The Kwanzaa Observance Association proudly presents the authentic 35th Annual Kwanzaa Observance in Savannah, Georgia. This year our theme is “Observing the African Principles”. Starting Wednesday, December 26th, 2018 – January 1, 2019 the celebration will be held each evening at 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. On the first three evenings (Wed., Thurs., & Fri.) we will be celebrating at the Tompkins Community Center located at 2319 Ogeechee Road, Savannah, GA. and the last four evenings (Sat., Sun., Mon., & Tues.) we will be celebrating at the Mary Flournoy Golden Age Center located at 1001 West 39th Street, Savannah, GA. The Founder’s Reception will be held only on the first night and our Night of the Feast will be on the last night, New Year’s Night.
