Throughout the year the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs offers over 50 classes and workshops in ceramics, metalsmithing, fused and stained glass, painting and mixed media for youth and adults. The 2nd Annual Student, Instructor & Staff Exhibition & Art Sale will be exhibiting the from December

5 – 31 at the Cultural Affairs Gallery located at 9 West Henry Street.

The exhibit will feature over 100 works created by over two dozen students and instructors. The exhibition and sale includes ceramic platters, bowls, vases, boats, jewelry, encaustic and oil paintings, hand-cut paper constructions, fiber table runners and much more! Artists who have participated in the city’s programs include: Karen Harvell, Nancy Waterhouse, Dan Wilhelm, Scott West, Abigail Thomson, Bronwyn Parish, Carol Lasell Miller, Crystal Travaille, Kay Morgan, Nancy Boyd, Paula Pounds, and Tana Fileccia Flagg.

City instructors participating include: David R. Peterson, Johanna Hickey, Brian Antoine Woods, Christi Reiterman, Christine Hefner, Clair Buckner, Debra Zumstein, Jessica Duckworth, Mary C. Bass, Irene McCollam, Crisley McCarson, and Mac McCusker.

An artists’ reception is set for December 5, from 6-9 p.m. in conjunction with the First Friday Art March. Cultural Arts Gallery is located at 9 W.
