2013 Federal Health Care Conference

The Georgia Chamber will hold its 2013 Federal Health Care Conference at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center (800 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30308) on Wednesday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendees will hear from leading industry experts on the significant changes coming in 2014 as a result of the new federal health care law.

“While most major provisions of the new law go into effect in January 2014, there is still a good amount of uncertainty as to how the new requirements will impact companies’ health insurance plans, their employees and their bottom line,” said Georgia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Chris Clark. “This event will bring together top public officials and private stakeholders from the health care sector to help businesses navigate these new regulations and learn what options they have moving forward.”

The conference will feature keynote speakers Marilyn Tavenner, head of the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and David Cook, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Heath.

Topics that will be covered during the event sessions include:

· New Plans, New Rules and New Options for Georgia · What the Affordable Care Act Means for Affordable, Available Care · Employer Strategies for Providing Coverage and Controlling Costs
