SSU Senior Abbas Abbkar Named SIAC Male Runner of the Week

Savannah State senior Abbas Abbkar was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Male Runner of the Week, according to a press release from the league office. Abbkar finished second overall in the Charleston Classic this last weekend, with a time of 27:02.34, averaging 5.26 a mile. He was bested only by College Charleston’s Hayden Dibona (26:28).
