SSU Receives $610,560 National Institutes of Health Contract Award

Savannah State University (SSU) has received a $610,560 contract award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to launch a student research training program entitled, “Expanding Diversity in Engineering and the Physical Sciences.” The four-year contract begins this month and will end in November 2015; SSU is one of only two recipients nationwide.
