The group was organized in 1997 in Washington, DC by Celeste Burton, Marjorie Phillips and Melba Lawrence.

The women range in ages from the 40s to 80s. Members meet monthly and host or attend fun-filled activities. Membership is by invitation.

The organization meets on odd-numbered years and hosts what is known as a Circle. The symbol of the group is a circle for neverending friendship. The Circle is hosted this year in Savannah because of its historic significance and the many offerings.

The Circle will be held at the Hyatt Regency from September 29- October 2, 2011. If you spot a group of ladies in pink, that will be the ladies of Just Good Friends, Inc. There are presently 11 chapters throughout the USA.

Queen Catchings is the National President and resides in Conyers, Georgia. The group is truly excited about coming to Savannah.
