Gena Taylor, Executive Director Christmas in July is an official holiday month at Greenbriar Children's Center. This is a very exciting time and highly anticipated event for the children.

Greenbriar's administration building is festively decorated for the occasion and Santa's Helpers present gifts to the children. This fundraiser is coordinated by the Department of Labor's Employer Committee.

We also celebrate Christmas in July because this is a greater time of need for the organization. During the summer, more time is spent at the Center, so the need for basic items increases; thusly, in-kind donations as well as monetary donations are necessary. This year, we are accepting donations of toiletries, toilet tissue, paper towels, bed linen (twin), bath towels and gift cards.

An added activity for Christmas In July this year is a reception sponsored by the First City Club on July 14, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at First City Club.

We look forward to lots of fellowship, food, fun and other Christmas festivities. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased by contacting Stephanie Majors at (912) 234-3431. All proceeds benefit Greenbriar. More details regarding the Christmas Breakfast and Santa's Visit is forthcoming.
