Teen Camp at Con-Ed, Inc. Family Resource Center

Bennie R. Mitchell, Jr., pastor, completed the first week of teen camp 2010 at Con-Ed. Friday, July 2, 2010, is the camp's last day.

The Fully Armored Youth Teen Camp of Con- Ed, Inc. began Monday, June 21. The Directress, Mrs. Bettina Tate, and Directresses, Ms. Kim Mitchell and Mrs. Emma Conyers, implement the sentiment of the Board of Christian Education: enrichment activities support academics, discipline, and reinforce students' preparation for the upcoming school year.

With the help of volunteers from Connor's Temple and community leaders, students are taught a variety of content: God's word, money management, budgeting, entrepreneurship, the history of Savannah, technology; field trips: bank tour, historical sites in Savannah, and the Chatham County Detention Center (jail); Lectures by, Dr. Charles Elmore, Mrs. Denise Miller, Mrs. Patrice Grant, Mr. Johnny Brown, Deputy Ronald Robinson, Mr. Bennie R. Mitchell, III, and other leaders. The week ended in a friendly competition at the bowling lanes.
