The numbers of persons with diabetes is amazing to me. Instead of decreasing, the numbers are continually skyrocketing. We as a society don’t think about what we eat and how it affects our body, has led us to this crisis.
Diabetes is a disease that occurs when the pancreas does not secrete enough insulin, in Type 1, or the body is unable to process insulin properly, in Type 2. Insulin is the hormone that regulates the level of sugar or glucose in the blood.
Some foods, especially chemicalized foods, blocks insulins' role in getting glucose into the cell where it does its work, and out of the circulating blood. In most persons, diabetes can be reversed; both Type I and Type ll. Most persons taking medications can be controlled with diet and lifestyle measures, alone. However, there is no pill for that. It is working to change ones diet, exercise program, and thought patterns about ones health, body and life.
The key is getting the RIGHT INFORMATION. Complications of diabetes include, heart disease, stroke, and nerve damage, eye diseases, which in many cases lead to blindness, erectile dysfunction, kidney failure and so many other problems.
As well as loss of feet and legs due to poor circulation, and early death. Over time, diabetes weakens and destroys the entire body. Poor circulation robs the entire body of much needed oxygen, nutrients, the healing and repair factors, as well as efficient and important waste removal.
Poor circulation harms the body from the brain cells to the toenails, and every body part in-between. Prevention and cure are in the same vein; eat a clean diet of 70 to 80% whole, fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lots of purified water.
Staying away from packaged and processed foods, and synthetically sweetened foods and drinks. Decrease the amount of processed sugar in your diet, and foods made from white flour.
Take a good quality multi-vitamin multi-mineral supplement everyday. Exercise daily, in the fresh air when possible. Sleep at night, and find ways to reduce stress. Don’t smoke. Be consistent in your efforts until you see the results, and it will work.
No matter how high the diabetes numbers go, YOU don’t have to be counted among them. Save your own life, and start today. Remember, Health is a Choice.
